About Ana B. Antunes

My name is Ana, and I'm a photographer based in Lisbon.

 

Being naturally curious, I have always pursued the path of science, starting my academic career at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, where I attended a degree in Geology.

 

However, this was not enough! So, with my curiosity intact and with my faithfull companion, my camera, by my side, I seized the opportunity to enrol in a Professional Photography Course from 2014-2016 at the Portuguese Institute of Photography in Lisbon.

Between 2015-2016 I started working for the online music publication Tracker-Magazine, and in 2017 I joined Newsplex, owner of "Jornal i" and "Semanário SOL", as a photojournalist intern.

It's difficult to explain in words the moment when I take a photograph. Simply, it's like a  meditation, there's no past or future, just the now, and I become one with the Cosmos.
